Propylene glycol, also known as 1,2-propylene glycol, contains a chiral carbon atom in its molecule. The racemic mixture is a hygroscopic, viscous liquid with a slightly pungent taste. It is miscible with water, acetone, ethyl acetate, and chloroform, and soluble in diethyl ether. It can dissolve many essential oils but is immiscible with petroleum ether, paraffin, and fats. It is relatively stable to heat and light, and even more stable at low temperatures. At high temperatures, propylene glycol can be oxidized to produce propionaldehyde, lactic acid, pyruvic acid, and acetic acid.

Appearance: Colorless, viscous, stable hygroscopic liquid; almost odorless and tasteless.

III. Usage Precautions:

Packaged in galvanized iron drums or painted drums, each drum with a net weight of 200 or 215±0.5 kg. ISO TANK or other packaging as per customer requirements can also be used. This product should be stored in a cool, ventilated, and dry place and handled according to general chemical regulations.
