II. Application Fields:
Primarily used as a solvent for paints, a diluent, and a solvent for various vegetable oils and resins. It is also used in the manufacturing of plastics and fragrances and as an anti-knock agent in gasoline.
Used as a solvent and chemical reagent in the formulation of fragrances.
III. Precautions for Use:
Highly flammable, its vapors can form explosive mixtures with air. Exposure to open flames or high heat can cause combustion and explosion. It can react vigorously with oxidizing agents. Its vapors are heavier than air and can spread over long distances to lower areas, posing a risk of flashback ignition if they encounter an ignition source.
