2. Applications:
Used in the synthesis of dyes, synthetic resins, liquid scintillation solvents, etc. Meta-xylene is used as a raw material in organic chemical production, for the synthesis of resins, m-acid, meta-xylidine antioxidant 330, high-efficiency wheat herbicides, polyester resin stabilizers, alkyd resin plasticizers, and also in the production of reactive brilliant blue, K-3R, and other dye intermediates.
